The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given a proposal to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the Champions Trophy 2025. According to Cricbuzz, the PCB has said that Team India can return to India after playing every match and the Pakistani board will help them in this.

The report said that the PCB has recently written a letter to the BCCI. It said that if the Indian team does not want to stay in Pakistan due to security reasons and wants to return to Chandigarh or New Delhi after every match, then the board will help them. A PCB official has confirmed this proposal. The reason for giving this offer is the one-week gap between India's last 2 matches.

According to reports, during the recent visit of India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to Pakistan, there was a discussion on the Indian team's visit to Pakistan. This issue was raised several times during the talks between Jaishankar and Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. After this visit, the hopes of PCB have been raised, although no official statement has been issued on this yet.

According to the draft, India has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. Group B includes Australia, South Africa, England and Afghanistan. According to the schedule, India's three matches are to be held on 20 February (against Bangladesh), 23 February (against Pakistan) and 2 March (against New Zealand). All India's matches can be played in Lahore.

Asia Cup had to be held in Sri Lanka

Last year also, the hosting of Asia Cup was given to Pakistan. Even then, when India did not go there, this tournament was held on 'hybrid model'. India's matches were held in Sri Lanka. In the final match held in Colombo, the Indian team won the championship by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.
