Rohit Sharma Has Been Announced As The 2026 T20 World Cup Brand Ambassador

Rohit Sharma has been officially named as the Brand Ambassador for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The news has electrified cricket fans worldwide. 

Given Rohit's reputation as one of the most skilled and significant players of the modern era, the move is hardly surprising to the cricket community worldwide.

Rohit Sharma's Response, After Announcement

Rohit Sharma's response after being announced brand ambassador of the upcoming Men’s T20 WC 2026. He said

“It is great to have the tournament back in India and for me to be associated once again with the tournament, this time in a new capacity as the Brand Ambassador. I wish all the players the very best and hope they have a memorable time and enjoy India's hospitality while taking back a lot of memories.”

Rohit’s Legacy in T20 Cricket

Rohit Sharma T20I international career: he played a total of 159 matches, total run score of 4231. With an average of 32 and a strike rate of 140.89. Smashed 5 centuries, most centuries for an indian, and smashed a 32 half-century score. 

Under his captaincy, India won the T20 WC 2024 in the West Indies or the USA, after 17 years since the 2007 T20 WC won by India under MS Dhoni's captaincy.
