Moeen Ali retires from international cricket

<p>English all-rounder Moeen Ali has retired from all formats of international cricket. The 37-year-old all-rounder has taken this decision after not getting a chance in the English team for the white ball series against Australia.</p>

<p>37-year-old Moeen, who won the ODI in 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2022, said in an interview to the Daily Mail, &#39;I am 37 years old and I was not selected for the series against Australia this month. &#39;I have played a lot of cricket for England. Now the time has come for the next generation, about which I was told. I felt this was the right time. I have done my job.&#39;</p>

<p>Moeen played his last international match in the T20 World Cup-2024. The English team had to face defeat in this semi-final match played against India in Guyana.</p>
