“This Series Will Be Turning Point Of India Cricket” Said Pujara

This summer India tour of England for 5 test series 2025 started on June 20th. This series is part of the next World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 edition. Indian batsman Chetswar Pujara said in the interview on Wednesday that “this will be the touring points for India crickets”.

Indians batting Cheteshwar Pujara given an interview with INAS on Wednesday, he said “The India-England Test series has always been a true measure of a team’s grit and adaptability. In the last 100 years, India has managed to win only 3 out of 19 series played on English soil, which highlights just how challenging this contest has been for us,” 

“With a young and dynamic squad, this tour represents a significant turning point for Indian cricket. I look forward to witnessing how this group rises to the occasion and sets new benchmarks for future generations."

Why is this series important for Indian cricket?

India tour of England 5 test matches series will be behind from June 20th. The first test of this series will be played in Leeds on June 20-24th. 

This is the first time India will play any series without key players Virat Kolhi and Rohit sharma after both retire from test cricket. 

Shubham Gill who recently became test captain of Indians team after RO-KO retired. Rishabh Pant was appointed vice captain in the test. 

This series is so special and important for indian crickets because one time the youngest team will play test matches in England soil. Since 2007, India has never won a test series on England soil. Last series of both teams in 2020-21 was a draw by 2-2.
