Bangladesh is expected to go on with its May–June 2025 cricket tour of Pakistan, despite recent geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan. The five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) during the trip are a component of both countries' preparations for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2026.
Bangladesh have busy schedules during May to July, Bangladesh will tour Sri Lanka for all format cricket Test, ODI, T20I in June-July 2025 after the Pakistan tour.

In order to prepare for the upcoming international tournament, the program was changed from its original design to feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) to just include T20Is.
After 17 years, international cricket will return to the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad for the first two matches of the series, which will start on May 25.
BCB Statement On This Tour
On Saturday, the BCB directors met at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium to decide on their next move. "As part of its continued commitment to international engagement and preparation, the Bangladesh National Team will tour the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a two-match T20 International series against the host nation as scheduled. The series is set to commence next week. According to a statement from BCB, the series will start next week.

This tour comes during a period of increased political interaction between Pakistan and Bangladesh. After a 15-year break, the two nations resumed high-level negotiations in April 2025 with the goal of fixing broken relations and advancing collaboration across a range of areas, including commerce and agriculture.
