Match Summary

Deepti and Amoanjot's massive innings, INDW scored 269

India Women took full advantage of the ideal batting conditions after losing the toss and being asked to bat first. Harleen Deol's aggression, Smriti Mandhana's just score 8-run total, and Pratika Rawal's 37-run surge put pressure on the Sri Lankan bowlers.

With a half-century, young sensation Deepti Sharma gave India a strong start. With an innings of 57 thanks to a late burst from Amanjot Kaur, India reached 269/8 in 50 overs, surpassing the 260-run threshold

With four wickets, left-arm spinner Inoka Ranaweera was Sri Lanka's best bowler, even though she didn't have steady assistance from the other end. Udeshika Prabodhani took 2 wickets

Sri Lanka's innings picked up speed as they chased 270. Chamari Athapaththu (c) and Hasini Perera make a solid beginning. Hasini Perera was destroyed by Kranti Goud's early punches. With a valiant performance, the seasoned Chamari Athapaththu tried to keep the innings at 43 runs, but Sri Lanka's pursuit was impeded by frequent wickets at the other end.

To keep Sri Lanka consistently beneath the asking rate, the Indian spinners Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana tightened the screws in the middle overs.

India won by a total of 59 runs as Sri Lanka collapsed for 211 in 45.4 overs, despite significant opposition from Nilakshika Silva, who scored 43. Sneh Rana and Shree Charani contributed two crucial wickets, while Deepti Sharma concluded with figures of 3/54.
