Gavaskar said- If Rohit does not play the first match then change the captain

Legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar has said that if Rohit Sharma is not available in the initial matches of the Border-Gavaskar, then the selectors should change the captain. Gavaskar said these things in India Today's Sports Tak program.

The 75-year-old former opener argued that the captain's presence in the opening Test of a foreign series is most important. Especially when Team India had to face a shameful clean sweep in the home series against New Zealand last week.

The captain should play the first Test.
