India beat South Africa in the only women's Test: Won the match by 10 wickets
India men's team won the title by defeating South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup on Saturday. India's women's team also took inspiration from that title win and kept a grip from the first day itself in the only Test against South Africa.
The result was that the African team collapsed on the fourth day and India won this Test by 10 wickets. This is only the seventh time in the women's Test, when a team has won by 10 wickets. The Indian team won by this margin for the second time and both times against Africa. Earlier, India defeated the host team by 10 wickets in the year 2002. Off-spinner Sneh Rana, who took 10 wickets in the match, was the Player of the Match.

India declared its first innings on Saturday by scoring 603/6 on the second day of the match played in Chennai. Then Africa was forced to play follow-on after being bowled out for 266 runs in its first innings. Africa started playing ahead of 232/2 in the second innings on Monday. Captain Laura Walvoort was dismissed after scoring 122 runs. Nadine de Klerk scored 61 runs.
Africa second innings ended at 373 runs and India got a target of 37 runs, which the team achieved without losing a wicket.
