Team India has started practice in Perth ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted photos and videos of Indian players in which they are seen participating in the practice session.
The first match of the five-match series will be played in Perth from November 22. Earlier, the team left for Australia on Monday.
The Indian team took part in the training session on Wednesday. During this, all the players including the team's star batsman Virat Kohli, team vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja participated.
India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma may be out of a Test in Australia. He has informed the BCCI that due to personal reasons, it is difficult for him to play in any of the first 2 Tests. That is why Rohit has not yet reached Australia.
India's last Test series in the WTC 2023-25 cycle is now against Australia. Even if India wins the series 3-2, the team will not be able to reach the final. Only by winning 4 Tests, the team will be able to make it to the final without depending on anyone. In this regard, this series is very important for India.
The Australian team has not been able to beat India in the last 4 series. The team got the last win in the 2014-15 season. Then the Australian team captained by Steve Smith defeated India 2-0. In the four series after that, the Indian team won 2-1.
