The final match of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Gujarat and Chennai could not be played due to heavy rain. It started raining continuously in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Due to this the match was shifted to Reserve Day. Now the match will be played tomorrow night from 7:30 pm, but there is a possibility of heavy rain in Ahmedabad on Monday also.

First know what will happen if it rains on Monday as well?

  • Even if the match starts by 9:35 pm, there will be a full 20 overs game.

  • Overs will be reduced if the match starts after 9:35.

  • There will be 19 overs when the match starts at 9:45, 17 overs at 10 and 15-15 overs starting at 10:30.

  • The cut-off time will remain till 12:06 pm, if the game of 5-5 overs does not start till then, then the match will be canceled.
