G11-Fantasy Cricket Prediction for Today's Match

On 23 July, during the 4th test match of India's tour of England 2025, on day 1 at Manchester, India scored 264/4. Sai Shudharsan and Yashasvi Jaiswal shone, with Yash’s 58 and Sai's 61. Sai Shudharson scored his maiden test fifty.

Day 1 Summary

Yash - KL solid start, cameo of Sai’s maiden fifty, India scored 264/4

After losing the toss, before lunch, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul put together a cautious but solid 78-run opening stand. Early in the day, Yashasvi Jaiswal broke his bat handle on a Woakes ball while scoring a valiant 58. Rahul contributed 46, helping to surpass 1,000 Test runs in this series in England. Returning to No. 3, Sai Sudharsan scored a calm 61, his first Test fifty, to support Rishabh Pant's 71-run partnership.

England’s Bowling Fightback

Rahul was dismissed by Chris Woakes, who broke the first wicket (46). Making his comeback after eight years, Liam Dawson used cunning left-arm spin to defeat Jaiswal (58). Just before teatime, Ben Stokes changed momentum and trapped captain Shubman Gill lbw for 12.

Pant’s Injury Concerns

After Chris Woakes hit him with a reverse sweep that injured his foot, Rishabh Pant, who was batting at 37, had to quit due to injury.

He was removed on a medical cart, and scans are planned to see whether he has a fractured foot, which would be a serious issue for India going forward.

Overview of Day 1: India Aim To Cross Mark 300+, England Want To Stop India Under 300

India's 264/4 position is largely due to the top order's tenacity and Sudharsan's composed performance. England decided to bowl because of the early seam movement provided by the overcast circumstances, but India managed to get through the day well. Play continued until well after six o'clock local time, even though the light was waning at the stumps.
